Alessi was founded in 1920 in Crusinallo in Piedmont region among the Romance churches and baroque chapel along Lake Orta. It kept producing brass plates for some 50 years. The first Alessi era product was the espresso coffee machine by Richard Sapper. It was created in 1979 and became a tribute of Alfonso Bialetti that invented new coffee cooking process.
