It is a new look on habitual wall lights – just one metal lay with slightly bent corners covers the second lay. On the one hand the construction is amazingly simple, but from the other this lamp form create new geometrical prospects of illumination of surrounding space.

Revitalizing Fluorescent Lamps With Fluorescent Light Covers

Nowadays fluorescent lights gain more and more popularity. A fluorescent lamp is almost 20 times more energy-saving in comparison to the usual incandescent lamp. It also has a longer working period – up to 10 000 hours. When fluorescent lights first came into use they worked with the help of a special throttle starting controller, that made a buzzing noise that was quite distracting and diminishing the desire to use such lamps. But later on an electric starting controller was invented and fluorescent lights became noise-free. It looked like nothing could stop people from using them again in table lamps, pendants, sconces and other lighting devices.

Nevertheless, some other disadvantages were found. Fluorescent lamps have some different shades of light that can be used according to one’s needs. Daylight lamps provide us a natural perception of colors, lamps with a bright white light are used in places where it is necessary to combine natural and artificial light, lamps of a warm white light are used in different interiors in order to create cozy and warm atmosphere. But anyway, the light of a fluorescent lamp is too bright and creates a certain tension on our eyes, that’s why a fluorescent lamp should be always used with a matt lampshade. Moreover, we have to be very careful about disposing a used fluorescent lamp: every lamp has a certain small amount of mercury inside. And though it is safe to use this lamp, we should always check that such lamps were disposed properly and clean up and dispose the mercury if we somehow managed to break a lamp.

While the presence of mercury is the fact we have to put up with, there are some great ideas of fluorescent light covers. There are fluorescent light diffusers imprinted with the look of a blue sky, clouds, ocean water, jets, and so on—intended to replace fluorescent panels that leave a harsher glare. The food is judged not only by its taste but by its look also, that is why a proper lighting of your kitchen will certainly improve your appetite.

Kitchen lighting can be relatively divided into two types – the ceiling lighting and the extra lighting. The ceiling lighting provide your kitchen with equally distributed dispersed light, its main goal is to maintain a lit kitchen area in the evening and, if the kitchen has no windows, to replace the natural lighting. Such lighting can be created with the help of ceiling lamps, pendants and spotlights that can change the direction of the light beam when needed.

Providing a good lighting for your cooking area is very important, you may use single ceiling lamps or inbuilt lights situated above the cupboards. If you use ceiling lamps – make sure they are hanged not too low; otherwise you may find it difficult to open the cupboards. If your kitchen’s ceiling is quite low, don’t stuff it with different lighting sources, you can place some diminutive lights in the furniture itself. Lighting the dining table is also essential and you shouldn’t get away with the ceiling lighting only. If the table is placed close to a wall, then you may use a wall light to brighten the area. A modern solution is to place a range of pendants on long stems above the table, but if you like to move your table, than a high table lamp with a thick lampshade might help. It will decorate the table and provide soft soothing lighting.

In any case, make sure that the kitchen lighting doesn’t make your food look unnatural. Soft and well-chosen lighting will make your meals look tasty and create a good kitchen atmosphere.
